About Us

Your community group in the Mullaloo area

MBCG Inc. began in 2007 when a number of Mullaloo residents concerned about the City of Joondalup intent to transform and commercialise Tom Simpson Park, including a lot of the southern area, Mullaloo Beach, and its foreshore area.

The Mullaloo Beach Community Group became an Incorporated Association in 2009.

The Mullaloo Progress Association

The Mullaloo Progress Association. Formed in the early 1970’ as the beach side suburb was expanded from the small pocket of housing surrounding the Surf Club and Hall.

This Association, together with the Sorrento Marmion Association lobbied the State Government to realign the West Coast Highway away from the coast and create the main northern road now known as Marmion Avenue.

The West Coast Hwy section was eventually renamed Oceanside Promenade and retained as a two lane road.
